WHAT IS REFORMER?

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY REFORMER CLASS?

Anything stretchy or loose - comfortable clothing. For hygiene reasons reformer students are requested to wear socks. GRIP socks and gloves are available for purchase at reception. Please note that no outdoor shoes are allowed downstairs.

I AM NEW TO REFORMER, WHAT CLASS DO YOU RECOMMEND?

We request that all first-time reformer students attend the Beginners class, followed by 2-3 Essential classes before participating in other reformer level classes. Please be aware that class levels are based on skill level and not on fitness levels – students joining a reformer level class they’re not ready for will be asked to leave.

I’M HAVING TROUBLE BOOKING INTO A LEVEL 1+ REFORMER CLASS, WHY?

To maintain effective class levels, all first-time reformer students wishing to book into classes other than beginners need to be signed off by reception. If you have attended reformer classes before please email us after setting up an account and we will open up advanced class booking for you.

WHAT IS REHAB REFORMER?

Whether you suffer from chronic back pain, have just had a child or you want to get back into exercise but just don’t know where to start this class is for you.

Rehabilitation training focuses on slow isolated exercises, to engage and ‘reprogram’ or ‘re-train’ the muscles into activating in the correct sequence. Because it obliges the body to perform movements efficiently without subconscious muscular ‘cheating’ and/or postural assists, it’s a highly effective way of re-training bad habits or re-engaging muscles that have not been activated because of previous injury/surgery or skeletal anomalies.

Rehab Reformer can help relieve symptoms associated with:  Back pain, Neck pain, Muscle, tendon and ligament sprains / tears, Hip pain, Knee pain, Foot + Ankle pain, Shoulder pain, Tennis elbow, Golfers elbow, Carpel tunnel, Sports injuries, Running injuries, Cycling injuries – Disc prolapse, Trapped nerves, Sciatica, Arthritis, – Pre/post natal care, Pre/post surgical rehabilitation, and Repetitive strain injuries.
