CAN I GO TO A CLASS IF I AM PREGNANT?
Yoga and Pilates are excellent for you and your baby during pregnancy and after birth, however it is recommended that you do not practice in your first trimester unless approved by your doctor. For your return to exercise, we advise you wait a minimum of 6 weeks following a natural birth and 10-12 weeks post C-section.
DO YOU OFFER PRE + POST-NATAL CLASSES?
Yes, for students with a doctors sign off and after the 1st trimester we offer many suitable classes, which are marked with P on the printed schedule. However, first time yoga students must attend the Pregnancy class and reformer students are advised to attend the Rehab reformer class.
HOW OLD DOES MY BABY HAVE TO BE FOR US TO ATTEND MOMMY + BABY?
This class is suitable from 6-8 weeks (after your doctor’s sign off) until crawling.
WHAT KIDS CLASSES DO YOU OFFER FOR DIFFERENT AGES - AND DO I HAVE TO BE PRESENT?
We offer a mini yogis class for little ones aged 1(toddler)-4 years, and we have 6-TWEENS Yoga for children 6 – 13 years old. Parents can choose to be present, wait in the chill out area, or to even take a class in the studio next door.
WHAT IS FAMILY YOGA?
Family yoga is a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to play and bond naturally and mindfully through movement, and spend healthy and happy quality time together. In this 45min interactive class, families will discover the benefits and joy of practicing yoga together. Focus will be on the children, with the encouragement of parents, guiding their children to learn and grow via simple yoga poses, games, songs and props, and simply grow stronger in body and mind together. Suitable for toddlers to aged 6 years.
